Policies
Current Vaccination
You will need to provide proof of rabies vaccination for your cat. You may send a picture by text or email or present us with the proof of vaccination at the beginning of the groom.
Last check up
You will need to provide proof that your cat has been examined by a veterinarian within the last year. This is required to ensure that the cat is in good health as they are really good at hiding illnesses.
Veterinarian
We will need the coordinates of your current veterinarian.
Appointment Day:
On the day of your cats appointment, You will inform you of any delays in arrival time. Please allow a normal window of 30 minutes before or after the appointment time. Please have the cat be in a carrier prior to our arrival.
Grooming Agreement
Before your first appointment, you will be asked to sign the following agreement:
Acknowlegment
You acknowledge and understand that even a fully vaccinated cat can still contract illness. I Groom Cats uses state of the art methods and products to dissinfect between each groom. You will hold harmless I Groom Cats LLC if your cat does become ill.
Aggressive or Dangerous Cats:
Owner MUST inform I Groom Cats LLC if your cat(s) bites, has bitten, or is aggressive to people, other pets, or specific grooming procedures. Air Muzzles may be used if necessary. I Groom Cats LLC reserves the right to refuse/stop services to such cat(s) at any time before or during the grooming process, and charge an Aggressive Cat Fee in addition to the regular grooming charge.
Health or Medical Problems and Senior Cats:
Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for a senior cat or cat with health problems, and can expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current medical problem during or after the groom. Because senior cats and cats with health problems have a great chance of injury/higher chances of death, these cats will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort, in styles that will not add to their stress.
Veterinary Care:
In the best interest of your cat, this agreement will give I Groom Cats LLC permission to obtain immediate Veterinary treatment for your cat should it be deemed necessary by I Groom Cats LLC. It is agreed that all expenses for Veterinary care will be covered by the cat’s owner upon signing this agreement.
Previously Discussed Grooming Styles:
Previously discussed grooming styles may not be completed due to your cat's health condition or temperament. This decision is in the cat's best interest, to prevent harm from coming to them. You will be responsible for payment of any services that are completed in lieu of previously discussed styles.
Matted/Tangled Cat:
Dematting or detangling of matted hair may cause patchiness and hair loss. Consent to remove the matted hair is on this understanding. Shaving you cat will dramatically change the cat's appearance, and the hair will be very close to the skin. This may expose pre-existing skin conditions for which I Groom Cats LLC is not responsible. Removal of mats whether by shaving or dematting procedure can be stressful to your cat and may exacerbate stress-sensitive health problems. Severe matting and/or pelting will result in an additional surcharge, based upon the severity of the problem and the time required to correct it. A fecal removal surcharge and/or biter surcharge may also apply.
Accidents:
There is always the possibility an accident could occur. Grooming equipment is sharp, even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations; possible problems could occur including: cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, etc. In most cases, this can happen when a cat is wiggling or moving around, you will hold harmless I Groom Cats LLC it's members and employees if your cat is injured due to its dangerous grooming behavior.
Hold Harmless Agreement:
By signing this agreement, you (or your Agent) agrees to hold I Groom Cats LLC, its owners, members, operators, employees, officers and directors harmless from any illness, damage, loss, or claim arising from any condition of your cat(s), either known or unknown to I Groom Cats LLC. It is also further understood and agreed that terms of this agreement can change at any time, without notice, and will overwrite any and all prior signed agreements and releases. It is further understood this clause applies to any and all cats groomed. I Groom Cats LLC is not responsible for allergic reactions of any sort.
Information Update:
Owner(s) must inform I Groom Cats LLC of all health problems, new and old, at each visit.
Photography release
I hereby agree and give permission to I Groom Cats LLC, to post pictures of my cat(s) on social media and any and all promotional material. Only the picture and my cat(s) name(s) will be used. The name of the owners will never be mentioned.
